We are looking for highly motivated high school students who are interested in the health sciences and health policy research to apply to our summer internship program. The two most qualified candidates will join the MyVoice research team for the summer, starting July 9, 2018 and ending August 31, 2018. Interns will work 20 hours per week. A stipend of $800 will be provided.
The internship was developed to enable qualified low-income, first generation, and underrepresented students to participate in health services research over the summer. As an intern, you will have the opportunity to contribute to: creating and fielding national surveys, analyzing mixed methods data, dissemination of findings, and community outreach. Interns will work with the MyVoice research team based at the North Campus Research Complex, at the University of Michigan.
- Under-represented in Medicine: African Americans and/or Black, Hispanic/Latino, Native American (American Indians, Alaska Natives, and Native Hawaiians), Pacific Islander, and mainland Puerto Rican
- Parents did not go to college (First generation college student)
- Qualify for free/reduced lunch
