A recent piece in Health Lab, an online news publication from Michigan Medicine and the University of Michigan, featured work from the MyVoice research team on youth stress surrounding the 2016 U.S. Presidential Election.
The post provides highlights from a 2018 MyVoice commentary paper published in the journal Child and Adolescent Psychiatry and Mental Health as well as quotes from lead author and MyVoice methodologist Melissa DeJonckheere, PhD.
Melissa notes, “Our goal was to begin to understand how youth are experiencing the current political climate.” “Our preliminary data shows that it’s also affecting young people and we should pay more attention to the potential lasting impact.”
