MyVoice researcher and University of Michigan student Xochitl Amaro was featured in a recent article on young people’s motications to get vaccinated against COVID-19 published by the National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine (NASEM). Speaking at a recent webinar hosted NASEM, Amaro said survey data from the MyVoice project shows college students are motivated to adopt healthy behaviors to reduce the spread of COVID-19 in their communities.

“Students are excited to get back on campus, but are also still willing to participate in these mitigation strategies and are also willing to help develop them, to be a part of it and to feel like they have some sense of control in the pandemic.”
